The collection was inspired by a recent trip to Vietnam– by immersing in a different culture and seeing how beautiful traditional garments were crafted with exquisite textures and vibrant colors.

After an amazing 10-years with Cathleen Jia, I've decided to rest the label. The Cathleen Jia brand has always lived true to our values; authenticity, ethics and most importantly for me, passion. This is the reason why I have made the decision to close off this chapter of my life, the Cathleen Jia brand.
I’ve loved every single minute of being the Creative Director of Cathleen Jia. To think I started all of this from my parent’s 3x3 backyard shed to being stocked internationally, with dresses worn by brides all over the world is an absolute dream come true. So I want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart.

But before we get too sad, let me assure you, this isn't goodbye! Instead, it's a fresh beginning as I embark on a new venture with The Wedding Theories—a mentoring business tailored for the wedding industry.
While I may be stepping away from designing wedding dresses (at least for the time being—after all, never say never!), I'm transitioning to a space that better aligns with my current life. The Wedding Theories has long been a passion project of mine. My love for the wedding industry knows no bounds, and I'm eager to impart my experience and knowledge to fellow Wedding Creatives. Through The Wedding Theories, I'll offer business mentoring, industry insights, and a supportive community for wedding professionals. I remain a Creative and an Entrepreneur at heart, brimming with excitement for the future alongside The Wedding Theories.
